Jonathan Hickman is best known for his work in comics, particularly the critically acclaimed "Fantastic Four" where he served as writer for over 200 issues. His "East of West" graphic novel was published by Image Comics, and is considered one of the most influential works in contemporary comics. He has also written prose stories that have appeared in Marvel's "Civil War: X-Men" and "Ultimate X-Men" series. As an author, he is best known for his 2012 work on the four-part miniseries "East of West", which was nominated for an Eisner Award for Best Graphic Album (New) and won him a Harvey Award for Best New Talent.
